Vic Hotson.
Vic Hotson was born in Lincolnshire and has painted from an early age, full time since 1986. He had many years of formal studies including ten years part-time at Grimsby College of Art. Vic works in water based paints and oils often direct and is drawn to colourful subjects. Landscapes of Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and the Yorkshire Dales, often include figures, as in his country sport paintings.
Vic is a regular exhibitor and has shown work at galleries, including Ferens, Hull, Lincoln and Haven Boston.
He is a member of the Lincolnshire Artists Society and the North Lincs Art Society and has received many art awards, the most recent being the Daler Rowney Award at the Artists Magazine Exhibition at Patchings Nottingham 2007 for his painting "Winter Allotment".
Many of his paintings are with owners at home and abroad.
