About Us
DC Framing began trading in 2002 initially from Proprietor Dave Cox's home premises. The business is family run with Dave's passion being outdoor pursuits - primarily wildfowling.
From this personal interest came Dave's other business interest, DC Finearts, a business specialising in prints of gundogs, the countryside and wildlife.
DC Finearts has affilliations with local artist Nigel Hemming, famed for his dog portraits, and John Trickett, for his wildlife and sporting portraits.
The natural progression from the sale of fineart was for Dave to add an extra service to his business by offering a framing service that could take care of the frames for the finearts side and also offer a wider scope to his business by offering a framing service for customer's own prints and pictures. Very quickly Dave achieved a reputation for being able to successfully frame items of specific interest and/or sentimental value.
The purchase of a digital mount cutter means that Dave can now offer some amazing mount designs that would have previously meant hours of painstaking manual cutting. These fantastic mounts enhance the appearance of photographs, prints, needlework pieces and a myriad of other appications.
A more recent asset is a HGP (Hot Glass Press) that gives a specialised laminated finish for photographs, old documents and of course prints. Recently Dave's wife Sue, has left her job to come and work with Dave, they have moved to larger premises, which now incorporates a gallery, that Sue has put her stamp on.
